In addition to career training, Philadelphia Job Corps also provides academic training. Courses range from independent living, employability, and social skills, to basic reading, math, and college preparation. Each course is designed to help students transition into the workplace and achieve their full potential.
GED/High School Diploma
One of our top goals at Philadelphia Job Corps is to ensure that every qualified student obtains his or her GED/high school diploma prior to leaving the center. Students who do not have a high school diploma upon their arrival, can enroll in our GED/high school program.
Advanced Career Training (ACT)
While enrolled at the Philadelphia Job Corps, students also have the opportunity to participate in the Advanced Career Training program. At no cost to the them, ACT students can pursue their associate's degree and gain college credits at a post-secondary institution.
